thinking of getting the warbonnet sock for my blackbird

I would like to get a warbonnet sock for my blackbird. As brandon told me you done use the side tieouts. i was thinking to take my side tieouts off my blackbird and not use them. My question is can one use a blackbird hammock without staking out the tieouts? and can the shelf still be used? i dont keep much ing the shelf just light stuf or a book.

    stored in plastic bag

I have my side tie outs stored carefully in a plastic bag in case I ever want to sell the hammock. The sock is under loved. It give me a full 20 degree boost.

Without the tie outs the sides just come into more contact with you. Not really a big deal to me if it means the sock is providing more warmth.

thanks guys for the info i think i will take my side tie outs off. i tried it out in my basement with some stuff in the shelf area (ie: headlamp and a book and my iphone) and it worked ok plus i have a peak bag at my head end. I am going to take them off and hang on to them.

Just need to sell off some gear to get the warbonnet sock.

Best way to use the sock is to roll the netting off to the side IMO, makes it feel more like a traveler plus sock, plus the shelf (more of a pocket when not staked out)

Hey jefftrex. Check out a couple videos I did about my sock. There are many others out there as well.
