    Real weight of Mosquito Hammock

    Hi.

I find the Claytor MH really interesting and priced low (i want to begin hammocking). Could you tell me real life weight of it (without tarp)?

    Thanks!

Mine is slightly less than 2 lbs ready to use. This includes snakeskins, ridgline, and ring/webbing setup.

    weight

    So about 30-31 oz?

I try to figure if sewing a double layers is worth it compared to a Claytor Mosquito. The setup you are selling at 2lbs 11oz complete with tarp (if i remember correctly) is not bad at all. 8 oz saved would be worth it for me but 3-4 oz would not be as interesting (at least since i will use it a couple time each years only).

    Thanks!

My Claytor Expedition with ring buckle system weighs a tad over two pounds, maybe 34 to 35 oz.

I haven't actually weighed my JH, but it is not bad and packs up nice.
