    Hello From West Tx

Hey everyone I've been lurking here for a few days learning about hammocks and seeing the great dynamics. As of right now my only experience with them has been a $20 walmart special. Its be good but not great and difficult finding hangs with no trees I make it work with my truck and the side of a pumpjack. No foolin. Im not a stereotype I promise! Where I work has a stock of them for final inspection before sale and my job is very much "hurry up and wait" so I get plenty of hang time.

Hoping to upgrade my kit soon, and a special shout out to the Shug for helping convince my wife to let me! Between you entertaining her and what I learned on this forum she had a great first time and wants a good one of her own now.

Well thanks for reading and hang easy

    Hello and welcome from Colorado.
Good for you getting the wife involved.

@UncleMJM, I'd love to but the missus just started a new job so she has no vacation time. Plus with just one walmart hammock, a 9x12 tarp, and no insulation it would be a steep order regardless.

@Slowanderer & Caveman, she didnt even flinch when i told her the price of a good UQ.

Congrats on the new job! I can't solve the time issue, but with what I have and what I know of the folks going on this hang, there's no doubt the gear shortage could be solved by loaners.
