I have just gotten in Line Locks (not to be confused with Line Locs3) for tie outs. I have Black, White, and Glow in the Dark.

These are really good. Hold well and can be adjusted with one hand. I set it up oposite to the picture. I put the loop on the tarp D-ring and use a Marlin Spike Hitch for the stake.
Don't let life get in the way of living.
I love my glow in the dark line locks - means I can see my way home in the middle of the night when I wander out to find a bush.
I use mine permanently attached by a loop of shock cord and then tech-line with a loop spliced in at the stake end.
+1 on glow in the dark, they have saved me and my tarp on several night mission returns.
Dutch, you might say what size of cordage that they can be used for
You just solved a big problem I had using the line locs. I have always used them where the line loops back and then ties off i.e. tightening the loc makes an ever increasing loop. At some point if the stakes are in close, I run out of tightening as the loc is all the way up to the end. The way you have a short piece of line (the shock cord end) solves that problem. My lines are often too short for porch mode or too long for storm mode, if that makes any sense.
