Hyas folks.
I've been reading the forums for a bit and finally decided to join up. I got interested in hammock camping watching videos from a guy on youtube named shugemery. I have my first hammock coming in this weekend from ENO. There are a ton of awesome ones out there that seem to have their ups and downs but I wanted one that I could use as a straight hammock, so let's hope it works!

Welcome from another Marylander. The ENO is a great hammock, but probably won't be your last one if you continue in hammocks.
You should try to make it out the the MAHAA this month. It is a little further away, but should be worth the drive. It is a great opportunity to see lots of different set ups and meet a bunch of great people. You can probably try out most of the more common hammocks if you ask nice. Even if you don't feel ready to spend the night outside in your new hammock, no one would give you a hard time for bringing a tent.
