    65-70F hang tonight...what insulation do I need?

Taking my Warbonnet out on its maiden voyage while hunting today and will be hanging tonight. Temps should be about 70. Humidity will be high as well. I'm not sure what kind of TQ to bring and whether or not I'll need a UQ..... For sure Ill need my Super Fly because there's a 30% chance of thunderstorms. After hunting all night long I don't want to be sweating all night or whatever remains of the night until I wake up. Just not sure how much insulation I'll need, if any and how to stay cool.

EDIT: cancelled rained out, gives me another week to prepare.

UQ protector or PLUQ would probably do it.

Torso sized CCF with lots O venting.

It better get a lot cooler for gun season. I don't relish hunting deer if I can't see my breath.

if you have the Warbonnet Yeti underquilt you can set it up and then just slide it down by your feet along the support elastic. That way you can pull it up under you if you get chilled or leave it out of the way if your fine. For a top quilt I would just bring a bed sheet or equivalent. If you don't have a Yeti or something you can slide out of the way then maybe a synthetic sleeping bag at hand so that if you get chilled you could put it in the hammock and just lay on top of it. 70 degrees and humid is a bit tricky for hammocks or tents. Good luck.

    Is your WBBB double layer?

You may not need anything for 70, but most folks do for 65 especially if it is windy. And some folks need something for 70 or even 75, and again over all conditions help determine that.

If you have a double layer, do you have some extra fleece that you could put in the pad pocket? A WM pad might be too much, but you could have one handy until you find out if you are going to be too cold or not. Or a synthetic sleeping bag as mentioned above. You could sleep in it or put it between the double layers.

For me, I usually only use a light fleece blanket and no UQ down to 70*. Thursday night, it got down to 61* and my DIY 2/3 insulfleece UQ with fleece blanket was just fine with no cold spots.

Between 60 and 70. Only light insulation is needed depending on wind conditions and if you sleep warm or cold.

    Good luck.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

I have a NF Cats Meow 20F bag for a TQ, no UQ yet. Pushed trip back a week as rains are freaking torrential today and were yesterday. Softer the ground gets the better the hog hunting is, plus even more moon to hunt by next week. I'll bring a fleece blanket.

I use my PLUQ for the temps your expecting. If I lay down and it's still warm, I push it off the the side. Then when I get cold, I pull it back under me. I am wanting a summer TQ/UQ set up for this temps and slightly lower.....RR

I hang my IX UQ loosely in temps like this. Snugger as the temps drop into the 50s
