That's a nice looking setup you made there. I bet your the first one with custom tree straps with your own name on it.
great job looks awesome. now when do they go on sale....
It's not the fall im scared of, it's the sudden stop at the end!!!
Only hang as high as your willing to fall- H.F. member
Thanks, so far it works great.
Thanks, yeah im real happy with the top-cover and the 1/3rd mesh vent.
The longer ones are nice but I have found that length only matters to a certain point and that I can get the same comfort on shorter hammocks by adjusting width and SRL length. Took alot of experimenting with several hammocks strung up in the yard and Adjustable SRLs to figure out all the various dimensions that work for me.
Its pretty simple. Just add an additional zipper near the head end..Stitch it directly to the other zipper.
Go for it..Even it you make mistakes, it is still worth it in the end.
Your right. Totally forgot to post the weight of the hammock.
Hammock w/UCRs: 524g (18.5oz)
Bishop Bag: 22g (0.8oz)
Tree Straps: 179g (6.3oz)
Top Cover: 237g (8.4oz)
or
Bug-Net:148g (5.2oz)
lol...thanks
Yeah MYOG is very rewarding.
Thanks Mountnman.
Thanks. Yeah I ordered them awhile back. They were a bit pricy but it was worth it.
lol.. Too busy with school to try and start any kind of business. When I graduate I will be in the automation field. About the closest I might ever get in a hammock business is designing machinery to make the hammocks instead of workers. lol
Great looking setup. DIY/MYOG is too addictive!!!
Nice job! I wonder if you will be looking at a way to cover more of one side of the mesh than the other. Looking forward to field reports. ;-)
YMMV

Free advice worth what you paid for it. ;-)
Great project, lots of details thought into the work and well carried out.

Where did you find separating zippers at a long enough length for this with double tabs?
Beautiful work, as always
