Well, I finished this setup a couple of weeks ago and just hung it out for the first time. I think it all turned out great for a first time.
Here's a shot from the foot end.
I know you can see much of the hammock. It's 110" long by 60" wide. Based on recommendations from fellow members, I doubled the bottom of the hammock. The material was only 48" wide, so I doubled that section and then sewed on 6" strips on each side to bring it up to the 60" width. I used 1 1/2" seatbelt type straps 12' long with a beaner and desending rings as the rigging.
The tarp is based on the blackcat directions on this site. Thanks for those. I think it hangs well with good tension on the sides. It's 144" by 120".
Here is a shot from inside. It seems that the side are too slack in the hammock. I am going to mess with the wrapping and see how I can change it. But, I, all 6'2" of me, can get flat in this thing. I can't wait to get out in the woods with it.
