HELLLOOOOO ! !
A very new hanger here from Minnesota. Over the summer a nephew out in MT showed us his hammock and my teenage son was like a moth to a light. He now has a ENO Dnest, with whoopee slings. Of course he wanted to go on a trip so that meant I needed one. Being a complete DIYer I ordered material from backwoodsdaydreamer and made a double layer hammock and the whoopie slings and ridgeline to go along with it. It took last Sunday to make it.
I really am looking forward to a more comfortable sleep. The ground is getting way too uncomfortable for me.
We are leaving for BWCA tomorrow morning. The weather is looking sketchy, low 30’s overnight with rain/snow mix. We winter camp so low 30’s sounds balmy, but……. since this is literally the first time overnighting in a hammock I hope the fly, pads and winter bags will be sufficient. (those words read like the words of someone about to learn something, akin to “here. hold my beer”)
Thanks to Stu and Scott, whoopieslings and backwoodsdaydreamer respectively for answering all my questions.
