SOLD: Aluminum bottle alcohol stoves for sale

I was making some alcohol stoves for a friends marine crops unit and I made too many. I'd like to sell the extras. $9.75 ea shipped inside CONUS. These are made from 16 oz aluminum bottles they are 1.75" tall and have 1/32" jets spaced 1/4" apart the tops are crimped in three places so not pot stand needed.
    Thanks!

Haha I made 1 for him to take in the field because he said he got tired of MREs, and wanted to be able to make hot drinks next thing I knew he said everyone that saw it wanted one.

Cool! I have a Jetboil that I love, but I have been intrigued by the concept of alcohol stoves. Can you real briefly explain how they work?

With this type of stove I would suggest using about an ounce of heet or denatured alcohol just pour it in and put a spark to it. Give it about 45sec-1 min to blossom as soon as the flames start to come out of all the jets put your pot on top and wait for it to boil you will want to use a windscreen in windy conditions. Most alcohol stove require a pot stand but I crimp the top of the stove in three spots to alleviate the need for a pot stand which saves weight and improves performance. The metal the pot is made from will vary the boil time a little. I can bring 2 cups to a boil in about 6:30 in my snow peak 600. How it works, when the fuel reaches a boil the gas it creates will burn up through the jets. Hope this helps if you have any more questions just let me know and I'll do my best to answer them
