Hi, first post here Been lurking for a while but I thought I would start off by contributing something cool.
This is a neat bag I picked up a few months ago.
Arcteryx Haku rope bag.
Pricey at around $70, but It works perfect for transporting a hammock for a day trip or car camping when you don't care about the (15) ounces. Maybe something worth adding to your high end hammock gear.
Sure you could use the included stuff sacks... but usually that involves taking off the straps, lines, ropes, and all the other little accessories! If you want to pack up the hammock quick, this bag is a good compromise between speed and compactness.
The best way to explain it is by watching this vid...
Basically you dump all your gear in a pile on a little tarp. Then the tarp folds up into a dump bag. The bag is then folded over like a dry sack, making it as small as possible. Compression straps pack it down even more.
I like this set up a lot, I can leave my pillow or blanket in the hammock and just compress it all down. You can put away the entire hammock in about 30 seconds.
