Got my mukluks….Steger Yukons. Been wanting some for years. Curious to try snowshoeing in them but my Keen Summit Country boots are great but sitting around in sub 0ºs the toes do start to chill from time to time. A quick walk around or camp chore warms them up.
Can't wait to see how the mukluks do. Got extra wool inserts too.

Very nice! I was thinking of using my Keen boots for hiking/snow shoeing and just using the Mukluks around camp. Curious if the Mukluk could be the one all boot for a trip like this.

The Stegers work well for both snowshoeing and camp. You may want to bring along an extra pair of felt liners or you can use pages of newspaper balled up and stuffed into the felt liners so that they dry out overnight.

Really wish I lived further north.. Good'ol Tejas here. Its on my bucket list to hang in the snow. My lowest is 28F last Jan.! No snow though. I love camping in Colllldddd weather! I envy ya'll! Love following the hang and videos!

This is usually the coldest weekend of the Winter here….will be Sub 0ºs more than likely. A whole new game for sure. If one is under-prepared it is a loooong cold night.
My coldest yet has been minus26ºF. Ialways remember getting those hands out of the bag in the morning to make coffee. Those digits get cold…real cold…quickly in the morn.
