That's a cool idea, you given me some inspiration to revisit something I tried once along those lines that didn't turn out near that well.

I love it, I am going to look through some of my ground dwelling gear and see if I have something similar. I always worry about getting a slug in my shoes or boots, they are just yucky if you get them on your bare skin. I have not found any other practical way to keep my footwear handy but not in the elements.

You earned your recycle badge with this idea. Great job of reusing an item.

    Great idea.
Keeping boots off the ground should keep them warmer in winter?
Another alternative to that would be to tie the laces together, then drape the boots over the hammock or tarp suspension.
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.

When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

I do that as well, its just nice and easy to get them in the BH when your in the hammock, a little easier than trying to put them on the ridge line.

I was working on a similar idea last year but is was basically for my pack. I planned to hang the pack length wise like a hammock from my actual hammock suspension so it sat underneath just like your boot hammock. Problem is that I never hang high enough for clearance to the ground with the pack underneath. It just makes it too hard to get in if hung higher.

Cool design, let us know how it works out in the field. I just hang mine from the suspension like the other guys.

    Boot hammock

I have a piece of netting from a car trunk organizer. I've been wondering how to use it for a long time. I have a ridge organizer from 2Q so I 'm can't use it there. I have a gear hammock from JRB but I use that for so many things: pack cover, wash tub, kiddy pool ( they loved it!).

You have the ends going to the middle tie outs. That's what I was missing. Thanks! I'll use a small stick on the other side to keep it stretched out.
