    Arrow In your opinion.....

Which is the best Bridge Hammock out there?

I'm looking for one that will be tough, professionally made, roomy, flat, and underquilt friendly. What I really want is something that I can use my sleeping bag in without finding it all balled up under my butt 5 times a night.
Comfort an stability are a must. Am I asking too much?

IMHO, you are not asking too much at all. UQ and TQ is the way to hang in a bridge and the hammock of choice, for me, is the Ridge Runner. Made by Warbonnet.
It conquered all the issues you have mentioned and some you did not, that I happened to encounter.
Paired with Brandon's made to fit underquilt, it is a great hammock. Again, IMHO.

Gary, I do not think that you are asking too much at all. While I can only say what is best for me... I like the RidgeRunner the best, and I have tried all of the major offerings (as far as I know). I have no issues with my full length quilts. All bridge hammocks feel somewhat unstable when you first try them, but you will get used to it.

I think that I am gonna string it up right now and sleep in it tonight.

I've done my own diy grizz bridges, and I've used a ridgerunner. I actually liked the lay of my diy grizz a bit better. I believe this is because I'm a bit bigger and my diy was a smidge wider. With that said I love my ridgeerunner and all the features it has!

Thanks all! I am going to take a look at the ridge runner.
I saw a bridge hammock last week when I visited a local hang but I forgot which kind it was. I think it was the Ridge Runner though. I just know that I cant get more than a few hours of sleep in a regular camping hammock. No matter what I do everything gets balled up under my back and I wake up feeling like I'm sleeping on a pile of tires.
    Thanks Much!

I bought a ridge runner in Jan of this year------I'm 6'4, 230 lbs with fairly broad shoulders----it fits me perfectly! Its very stable, very well made, and works extremely well with an underquilt (the lynx is excellent!) If you can wait until black friday, warbonnet usually has some kind of sale. (considering the hammock comes with spreader bars, its a pretty good deal!) Just a thought, some of the guys are buying a no net ridgerunner, along with a spindrift sock, and having brandon mod the sock with 2 doors. (and then with a little sewing , you can add a zippered bug screen to the doors) this mod weighs about the same as the ridgerunner with a bug net, but gives you more room inside, and gives you more weather protection. I did this mod on my spindrift last weekend-added the 2nd door--I was pleasently surprised at how much extra ventilation it adds and how roomy it feels! (I'm working toward using this system as my go to set up--its very versitile and flexable!) https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ad.php?t=79241 If you do get a RR, there are other little tweaks/mods you can do (hiking poles as spreader bars, whoopie sling suspension etc. ) And if you dont like the hammock, they are always a hot item in the gear for sale section !

FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

I just love my Ridge Runner. I cannot say if it is better than other bridge hammocks but it suits me fine!
