    Cool, it's always nice to see people enjoying Edinburgh. I've lived here all my life and still haven't been in the castle. Shame it was wet... but that's Scotland

    I would think that is would be cold with no underquilt?

    I would think that properly wrapped in one's heavy wool blanket the hammock would be fine. Assuming they issue blankets...

    It was great to see the hammocks in the dungeon on Edinburgh Castle again. "Rain?! its only a mist" is what they kept telling me there. Its a great country to hike & bike around.
