Hammock hangers mentioned on "Finding Bigfoot"

So, I was watching the show Finding Bigfoot (cause I get a kick outta those guys. They're some of the worst "researchers" on the planet), and they were in Oregon I believe and one of them was waaay up in a tree overlookng a valley. He was (if memory serves) about 100 feet up and in the pop-ups they show for post-show commentary he mentioned three guys hanging waaaay up in the trees. He thought it was insane.

I wonder if it was anybody form here.

Sometimes these redwood researchers will hang in the tops of those trees to get more hands-on time in the trees without having to come down and climb back up. Are there redwoods in Oregon?

Was it in a Treeboat? That's the only way I could see hanging so high up. That, or a climber's platform/tent. But a camping hammock? Hmm..., I don't know.

That show cracks me up..Love the big guy, Bo Bo I think he goes by..they always use him to reenact a Sasquatch sighting and it's hilarious...

I was up on the man lift at work 30' or so and it sways a little and that was enough for my stomach, I can't imagine climbing into a hammock a hundo off the ground..

I don't think the hammockers were a hundred feet up, just way up in the trees they were in. He was about a hundred feet up in order to overlook a valley and see movement better on his FLIR camera. I think the guys in the trees were up about 20 or 30 feet or so. He was apparently able to see them from his vantage point and presumed they were higher than they actually were.

@Spurr: yeah I love that BoBo guy too. I especially love his gimme caps with things like "Keep it Squatchy" on the front. The one guy Matt is so intent on encountering a Bigfoot that no matter what noise he hears in the woods, it's a Squatch.

Personally, I think it's guys like us out on a hang or just camping who hear the hoots and "howls" they do and hoot or howl back just to mess with them.

My favorite thing about the show

Shhhhhh!!!! I think there's a Bigfoot! Pulls out radio whisper the "encounter"

    Receives radio response.

    Radio is at full volume.

Sometimes when I'm out alone and the woods are real quiet just before I go to bed I'll cut loose with a big howl.

Never have gotten an answer from the Uwharrie Beast,

I LOVE the show. I don't understand some of their methods. They always seem to move around so much and make so much darn noise talking. Its a wonder they see deer, much less "bigfoot".
My wife hates the show, and spends the hour saying it's impossible an undiscovered large ape might exist. She does however believe that by telepathically professing her love for a 2000 year old jewish zombie, he will somehow remove an evil force from her body, left over because a naked lady ate magic fruit off a tree when persuaded to by a giant snake, and that somehow removing this evil force will let her live forever in a fairyland above the sky…

but yet somehow an undiscovered ape species is "impossible". *confused*

my daughter straddles the fence… but still likes to laugh at the researchers. We try to perfect our squatch calls when in the woods. once I did one from the roof, and a squatch answered. I think it was a neighbor's kid… unless it was a juvenile squatch in shorts.
