    Great video, HikingDad.

One thing that I didn't see in the video was how the tarp is attached to the continuous ridgeline. I know this is done with 2 prussic loops. I am just pointing this out for the new people that may not have seen this tarp ridgeline method.

    Cheers

Good video, thanks for sharing. You have the ability to explains things in a simple way, probably would make a good teacher. A video showing how to attach the tarp to the continuous ridgeline (CRL) may be a good next project.

For the CRL, if you use a stingerz instead of the dutch hook, you create that nice V that allows the hammock suspension to move side to side without rubbing too much against the tarp suspension. The same effect can be created with a dutch flyz.

Or if you want to keep the hook, larkshead a small amsteel loop to the tarp's D ring, and attach the hook to that, instead of to the line itself. This also allows you to create the "nice V."

Agreed about the CRL and how to attach the tarp. In one of the takes for making the video I actually did go over it, but forgot in the take that worked as for the teacher thing....I actually do teach (photography) but I'm still pretty new at it, so hopefully my teaching skills and videos keep getting better
