    I have a serious problem...

There are just way too many awesome hammock vendors out there!!!

I recently found myself at the all too common newbie crossroads, upgrading from my first hammock (mine is a ENO DN). So I hit the forums looking for info on what to buy next. I've read a gazillion threads comparing features, prices, comfort, personal experiences etc etc etc.

    What have I learned?

    • There are a lot of really great hammocks being produced by amazing cottage vendors and you can't really go wrong with any of them.
    • What is comfy for one "man" may not be for the next, even if they are the same height and weight.
    • Your first hammock is a gateway into total addiction.

My husband is also upgrading from an ENO DN. After all I have learned reading the forums, I decided to just jump in feet first and pick up some barely used hammocks from the sale forums. Seemed like as good of a place to start as any.

First I scored a WBBB 1.1 DL, thinking it would be perfect to surpise the hubby with, but secretly perhaps hoping it becomes mine. Next I picked up a Clark TX-250 with the weathershield. At this point, I have no idea which one I will ultimately end up with and which one will become the hubby's, but I figure either way, we've got two nice hammocks to start experimenting with. They both should arrive sometime early next week and I can't wait!!!!!

Thanks to everyone for making this forum so wonderful and full of such amazing information!

You've made two really good selections. Very high quality, with excellent resale values on this forum, if you decide to go lighter or wish to explore further.

There is also no limit on this forum, concerning the total number of hammocks one is allowed to possess.

You should both find comfort there somewhere, and if not, like I pointed out, put em back up for sale and move on.

My thoughts exactly! Lighter options I'd like to try at some point include BIAS and WL. Not sure I will like having an integrated bugnet with the BB or Clark, but I figure I won't know until I try. I also have some el cheapo bugnets on the way that I'm going to mod into Fronkey style bugnets for later use bugnetless hammocks.

I've also been eyeing the Dream Hammocks. Will likely pick one up at some point. Yep. Total addiction!

Nothing wrong with having multiple of everything, I have 4 hammocks, 7 stoves...etc. Variety, it's the spice of life!

I'm hoping he will like the Clark better. He was the one more interested in that one anyways. We will see what happens!

Yes, I'm loving the great deals that can be had there. I also picked up a 3/4 UQ from Hammock Gear for the hubby for an awesome price. (I already have a full length Incubator myself).
