The 13ft Ayu is a very versatile rod that offers good reach and great sensation. The Ayu features a long premium cork handle that is very ergonomic and does a great job at balancing the rod for extra comfort and a lighter feel. The Ayu is one of the rods featured in our Tenkara Intro film (the one catching the larger fish).
The rod is a mid-weight tenkara rod, and the most versatile rod Tenkara USA offers, great for catching most fish sizes while staying a bit further and casting precisely and softly.
