Without pics or at least a drawing this is all just speculation. The fixed loop on the tail of the adjustable loop makes me think someone made a hybrid between a whoopie and a UCR, but I wouldn't hang on it. And there's a back splice where the fixed loop should be? This sounds like someone who didn't know how to make whoopies, or maybe they were experimenting.
they are sold per pair, a new set of slings are under $20. or send me yours, and I'll either fix it or make a new set with your hooks on it. I've got a spool of amsteel
Could go to 1 of the tutorials on here, but was trying to avoid that...that's why is said this....."Gimme a knot & I'll tie it. Gimme a needle & I'm looking to stitch a wound!!" But, I do enjoy learning new skills that keep me out, so I'll give it a go. If I screw it up, Ill just have to try it again. In the interim, I'll use my DIY 12' straps & biners.
Thanks to all for the info provided!! I've learned much here in a very short time & have much still to learn about hanging. It's good to feel confident about the informational supply that's provided here on HF....

Does your whoopee look like this crude drawing of a whoopie
HF is amazing! With the PM help of Fallkniven, I've learned that I have UCRs....not Whoopie Slings. The assistance that I rec'd from all of your responses is appreciated greatly, as well! Now, tomorrow, I'll be able to get this newly acquired Weight Weenie Micro & UQ out to the 'back 40' for a test run. Temps will be a little higher than the teens we had last night, but I'll still be a hangin' happy camper!!
