    Question Spreader bars

Looking for spreader bars for 2 different bridge hammocks, first bh will be a diy 90 inch long version of a grizz bridge, for my wife and i need a regular set of bars, same as what comes with a bmbh, but i dont know where to get them.
The second is for my diy bh, it is gonna be a double layer heavy duty reinforced bh that will be capable of holding atleast 400lbs, i have all the suspention and fabric-reinforcements all figured out but i need help deciding what to use as the spreader bars, they must be alot stronger than the stock ones that my wife s bh will have,
Open for all and any suggestions/advice

    Spreader bars

Honestly I can't help you in this area. I just know that is where they get them. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in. Sorry Zilla.

I believe that most of us use the plastic end caps that are available. Not sure what you're planning on using a threaded insert and nut for.

The spreader bars aren't of sufficient thickness to allow for any threading that you could do with tapping tool, I believe you'd have to go to a much thicker tube which would really weigh a lot.

I think you can get a set of JRB spreader bars directly from JRB.

As for questoutfitter poles for your hammock, the only thing I would try is the 0.742. Two 17" sections. I use the endtips like style #4126

I don't know that the 0.742" poles will hold with a base load of 400 lbs. I do know that if I was building a hammock to accommodate that weight I would work at keeping the compression force on the bars as low as I could, which means long suspension triangle (e.g. side of the triangle equal to the length of the spreader bar) and a deep suspension cut rather than a shallow one.

Thank you grizz, i was actually considering my head bar at around 40/42 inches to help with the weight and my actual weight is 355lbs
