    You are very fortunate.

I'll be working on the property for the rest of my life, trying to accelerate its recovery from logging.

    But I think I'll manage.

This will be the view from our house-site.

And this is from the 4000 ft. peak just behind our house-site.

Both shots are looking south towards Mars Hill.

You are indeed a lucky man to have such a pretty piece of land.

    Raw,
Beeeutiful!!! Very nice photos of an awesome piece of heaven. What are those dirt mounds with the trees growing on them? We don't have those in Houston.

    RAW,

You should have a housing subdivision or an monster truck/ATV/motocross park built on your property. Think of all the money you could make!

But seriously...logging/forestry is actually more environmentally friendly to the land and it's organisms than house construction.

Really like that country in your photos. Makes me want to get out of the house and see it. mule

And from what I understand, the logging here was done pretty well.
But it still leaves things looking a bit like a warzone.

We bought the property in 2003, and it's amazing to see the changes even since then.
