Just FYI, I shall be leaving Richmond around 5PM and google maps has been saying 2hours 35 minutes every evening at that time, with traffic. Friday may be a tad longer but I doubt much. So I should be there between 7:30 and 8. If anyone sees a red Dodge Dakota Quadcab, with a big green 'yak hanging outa the back, driving around aimlessly lost, grab me will ya? Thanks

As a reminder for those returning and a head up for first timers, Google (and likely your GPS unit) will send you the park's main office. That is not the right location. Use the location linked in the first post to make your way to the camp site with much less confusion.

You will at some pint get on to NC Hwy 98. From here turn north onto Baptist Road, there is a sign, there is a middle school there. There is a Y intersection, stay to the right and follow Baptist road all the way into the park. You will not need to turn off the road until you reach the group camping sites. We are in Group Site 4, look for the one with a bunch of hammocks hanging.

I'll even offer to work some herbal oils into those weak muscles to help make old bones and joints feel better, and give you strength. What better place to recoop and relax than in the woods with friends? I'd hate for you to miss the hang and the codgers corner. I was really looking forward to meeting you. We have to keep those with stories and knowledge around to help keep us grounded. I know we'll all pitch in to help anyway we can. So if you feel up to the drive, the rest of the time you can just relax and recoop.
Hotlips, I have heard a lot of good offers in my time, but yours rocks. The big issue for me just now is the drive, I won't try a 6 hr.drive until I'm in a bit better shape. Thanks for such a generous offer, especially to someone you've never met. I think you might be my next best friend. I really do look forward to sitting around and chatting with you and so many other folks I have yet to meet.
