On holidays a couple weeks ago I set up my hammock in extremely hot and sunny conditions near a beach with very little tree foliage above me
I used my sylnylon WB Superfly (camo) but with the sun being really strong the heat coming through the fly made lying in the hammock unbearable.
I switched to the Hammock Bliss All Purpose Shelter (silver side facing the sun) and that made quite a difference – albeit some heat still penetrated through.
Later in the evening, rain and wind came through and due to the small size of Hammock Bliss Shelter (345 cm diagonal - 305 cm length x 146 cm width), spray was getting the hammock really wet so I had to switch back to the Superfly in a hurry.
The only other large dual purpose (sun and rain) hammock tarp I can find out there is the Mosquito Hammocks Sun Fly with the big sized one being 300cm wide x 400cm long.
Does anyone have experience with the Sun Fly or any other dual purpose light weight tarp and perhaps make some recommendations?
