First Time Hang with Baby Wes

We had a weekend trip of firsts this weekend.

We went to Sesquicentennial State Park in Columbia, SC. This is only 15 minutes from home, in case we had to bail out and sleep in our beds.

It was our first hanging campout and it was the first camping trip for our 15 month old son, Wesley.

Here's Steph with future Pyro Wesley keeping warm:

Here's the sunset over the lake:

Here's Wes taking a predawn walk with Daddy while Mom gets the rest of her rest:

All in all, taking a baby camping was easy as hanging from a tree. It's my theory that the kid will go anywhere and do anything as long as he's outside.

Our hammocks and our baby were the source of endless amazement for our campground neighborhood.

Of course, no pics of us hanging. We wore out and went to bed without the camera!

    cool!!!!
brings back memories of when I took my daughter camping, she's grown up to be an out-doors girl.
I too thought that camping w/baby was pretty easy. Could have been that some kids just naturally like the outdoors!!!

You're not a proud Dad, are you??? Nothing quite like knowing your young'un likes doing what you like to do! I had a lot of good times at Sesqui back in the old days at USC.

What a cutie-patootie! Start 'em young, that's my theory. Congrats on your great family camping trip.
