Hi guys I posted a question on the DIY forum the other day and I did not get an answer. I think I finally figured out why. I have been reading the forums for almost a year now and have become familiar with a lot of your trail names and posts. So a couple of weeks ago when I finally signed up I felt like I knew a lot of you. The thing I forgot was you guys have no idea who I am. Just another name that popped up looking for help. I finally realized how rude that was and I apologize for getting off on the wrong foot.
So lets start again my trail name is UnoGear my real name is Hey You or Rick or Morrison what have you done now one of those. I spend my summers in Upstate New York a little village called Northville. I hike camp backpack and fish in the Adirondacks. About the 1st of November every year I head for Hudson, Florida where I spend the winters. The one thing I have learned about traveling between NY and Fl is I hate hauling stuff back and forth. So this gives me the perfect opportunity to build a hammock rig for New York capable of going down to 20 degrees and another rig for Florida for temps down to the low 40's. My intent is to make the gear for New York out of Goose Down and the Gear for Florida out of synthetics. So far I have two hammocks a Skeeter Beater Pro and A DIY double layer I made (Thanks DIY gear for the design). I also made two sets of whoopie slings and continuous loops out of Amsteel(Thanks TheBrewGuy) for the videos.
The next two tasks at hand are a Fronkey bug net and some kind of underquilt for my Florida rig. What kind of synthetics can you recommend? opps probably the wrong forum..Any ways guys you have already helped me a lot and I do appreciate it..
