Cool Hammocks & Kayaks...I'm worse than a crack addict!! LOL

Name is Ryan, I live in OKC, Oklahoma. I grew up in the city, but my mom tells people I lived in the backyard more than the house. I have been in hammocks since I was a lil kid and currently own 6, plus extra gear. I try to find creative places to hang my hammock every chance I get, such as off 400 ft ledges on the side of a mountain or overhanging trees on the river when people float underneath me. My dog, Talli, loves my hammocks as well! I know manage a specialty kayak shop in OKC and am on a mission to convert every camper over to hammocks!!! I personally favor the Eaglenest Outfitters hammock line.

+ 1 on the kayaks and hammocks
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

I'm with you! I love both and spend most of my spare time playing with kayaking gear or hammock stuff. The rest of the time I'm just thinking about it.

Living the dream! Sounds like a good time to me. I agree hammocks and kayaks are a great pair. I recently did my first kayaking/hammocking trip and had a great time!

I love my kayak and my hammock. I would like to paddle around a lake and camp where ever I am at each night.

I was a kayaker first. When I stumbled on camping hammocks I knew it was a match made in heaven. The two together have improved the time I spend outdoors to enjoy life. Welcome to the forums.
