Welcome from Pennsylvania! I spent a little time in Cookeville a few years ago at the Minister's Treehouse! I love the mountains in that area. Beautiful country.
Yea, the Treehouse is an interesting oddity. It is closed now for safety reasons, but you can still see it from slightly afar.
Welcome! We should be heading to Latimer in December.
Latimer is growing to be a fantastic location. I've been there twice so far, and will likely be often as the years go by, and my family grows through scouting.
Hello from North Georgia and welcome to one of the most informative hammock sites on the Net! I am new to the whole hammock camping idea myself and as someone stated above there is a wealth of information on these forums.
Our troop was just down in GA for the 150th at Chicamuga, Lots of cool places to explore as well.
Welcome from points west of your location. Hey don't be hesitant to speak up we all learn from others experiences. Post up your gear, methods, hangs, and ideas. We'd love to hear em!
BTW we love pics too
I'll do just that, we're heading to Frozenhead State Park this weekend for my first cool/cold weather hang. I'll try and find the right places to pass on the info and see how it goes.
Hello and welcome to the madness! Be as loud as you want here and enjoy! Check out all of Shug's videos when you have time. It is the best starting point for a noob and entertaining as well!
I'm pretty sure that I found Hammock Forums via Shug's videos I have watch all of his, and frankly they crack me up! (as well as being informative) I've even belted out a "whoooo buddy" or two unexpectedly...
