How do you tell a jarbidge underquilt with ordinary insulation from one with the apex upgrade by looking at it?

This is a serious question.
I ordered an upgraded jarbidge and the paperwork that came with it says nothing about the upgrade. Since the upgrade is free right now I also cant tell from the price. I sent an email asking about that and something else 3 days ago and got no reply.
I need to know that I was sent the right thing because I'm taking it out in the cold in two weeks and I don't want to be uncomfortable since that is why I bought it in the first place.
well I'm not sure but maybe you can tell by the weight since apex is lighter. a standard jarbidge will weigh slightly more

True, I thought about that but its really not going to help me know for sure since the weight difference isn't much and the weights of handmade equipment usually varies from the theoretical number by a few ounces.

Actually Dangerous there is not a weight difference. The insulations that we order and stock are the same weight in both types.
Litetrek just got caught up on emails from this week. Here is an excerpt regarding your Qusstion.
Sorry for the delay getting back to you, it's my daughter birthday this weekend and I have been out of the shop with a thousand honey do's for the wife to get ready.
On the APEX: currently with the special we have removed all regular insulation from the shop so that we only have APEX on hand. Normally we only produce one insulation type per day bringing the insulation of the day into the quilt room working on those and returning it to the stock room at the end of they day so we can switch the next. After thousands of quilts made we have a system to control the way we produce quilts. We also have several subtle things we do one quilt to the next to indicate to us which we are working on as control points in house that customers don't see on the finished end of production. With only APEX on hand at the shop I can assure you that even without you adding the APEX item to the cart (hence why it was not on your receipt) we still produced it with APEX.
In the future we will also have a label to go on the finished quilt. We just got this approved by Climashield. They are a big company that likes working with big companies. They are resistant to approving most things like this for us small shops and this has taken years to work out.

Do you plan to sell the Clamasheild/Apex material as a DIY item ?
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
pgibson,
I did add the free apex upgrade to my cart and I believe I ordered it early after the sale was announced (possibly the same day). The apex upgrade did show up on the paypal screen that comes up before confirming the order, so I don't understand why it is not on my AHE receipt. Thus, my concern about receiving the standard insulation.
I am very happy with the excellent quality of the quilt and it stuffs down much smaller than I was expecting which is nice.
