    Hello, from Birmingham, Alabama.

    My boy and I have been backpacking for a while and thought we would give hanging a shot. We have dabbled with ENO a bit, but have mainly been sleeping on the ground. I've been lurking for a few weeks trying to learn a bit, I am a bit confused with all of the information on this forum. I like the ENO ok but I think there are better options for us, mainly to lighten our load. We are looking to purchase a few setups. Looking at WBBB XLC and Dream Hammocks Thunderbird 11'. Trying to determine between Cuben fiber and Silnylon for tarp. We will more than likely go with some of Adams TQ and UQ. We enjoy 4 season backpacking, all of our trips are within the Southeast. Any suggestions would be appreciated. BTW: I have been watching a few of Shug's videos, That is one funny dude!

    Howdy Neighbor! I am just north of Bham and work downtown. My son and I are in Scouts and have been in a hammock for three years now. I have a WBBB and my son is in a Hennessy. This is a great forum and sometimes it feels like you are drinking from a fire hydrant. Take your time and ask lots of questions.
