3rd Annual Big South Fork Hike:

This trip offered a lot! Great fellowship, hiking with the old family, and 3 new to us: Riven, Zeez, FirePitGuy.
Some cool gear: Riven's InsulHammock, which I called the 'Refuge' in the vid....I love an integrated hammock and underquilt=less fiddle factor. The BoneFire by FireInMyBones will do me well for 3 seasons; the InsulHammock will be my PeaPod replacment for the colder months.
A rarity seen: HNO's AirShip, Graf, and Dirigible all in one campsite!!! The Dirigible has been retrofitted and is out of dry-dock! The minor tear on the AirShip fixed!
It was a 21-24 mile hike and my 'new' knees did very well. My right foot sucked and brought me down (literally) three times. We'll see if the ortho folks can fix it too.
Again used the Batchstovez system to bake with and got to see Riven's Nano Fire Box stove (dont know if that is quite the right name), awesome stove and I'm still waiting for the Ti version.

Now that Insulhammock is a work of art. Looks great. Yeah, it is either that or the Speer PolarPod.
    Thanks for sharing,

Very nice report, Medicine Man! Makes me want to put this trip on my radar for some future possibility.

Another good time with the gang, I see. I was impressed to see all three generations of the HNO sock out there. I might even be looking at a sock.

How much rain did you see?

Nice video MM. I do like going to BSF since it is close by. Sorry I couldn't make it but Hamhocker had a cataract removed Thursday so it was a weekend at home for us

Thanks for the video! A little less "footage" of Spam's blister would have been good

That was a fun trip MM. I really liked the look of that "not-a-pod."

Another great video Medicine Man. That last still shot of the video was great. You need to publish a coffee table photography book. It would be a best seller.
