I can't argue about that - that way is very effective.
I am a want-a-be. I try and will continue to learn and try but for now its getter to buy it rigged.

I know practice, practice, practice. I can tie wonderful knots at my desk or couch. I use the the tie a lot method in the field. I wish I had trees to hang in my yard with. I also need to take some solo trips that I am not either managing me and my son, or my 70 cubscouts. I could then practice in the field.
Shock cord tie outs? Really, how does that work out? I've only used lash-it or zing-it, seems like shock cord would stretch too much.Originally Posted by miyanc
the shock cord is only part of the tie out. the rest is nite ize reflective cord. the shock cord is just a tensioner to help keep tension after things loosen on you. i have seen people use medical tubing as well.
Do you use just a couple inches of shock cord?
