Did some backyard testing. I was 3 deg overnight, my thermometer showed a low of -12 but I doubt that happened NOAA station showed the low at 3.
So I took some pictures this morning. This is the set up I used, There is a JCP DIY against the hammock with a 20 deg against that. My back got a little cold at 6 deg with that. So I took a Kelty Cosmic 20 added mitten hooks to the pad loops on one side and sewed two to the zipper on the other side. That attached to the suspension of the 20 UQ. A piece of shock cord from the hang loops on the foot box to hold that up against the hammock. I tightened the hood up on the bag to fit the hammock I put a GT Double under everything as a UQP. It looked like this.
I zipped my down coat over the end. And crawled in the wife took this picture for me. I have some tweaking to do on the sides to get everything drawn up on the sides. But it worked good and I had to vent some overnight at 3 deg.
