I keep going back and forth with myself, whether I should buy an underquilt or make my own. I have pretty much settled on making it, but still have a couple questions. This will be for my WBRR.
I get and understand the differential cut. And I will be doing this with 5oz Climashield.
I also understand the somewhat hourglass shape to a bridge hammock UQ.
So...
Underquilts for gathered end hammocks that are cinched up around the hammock, but as the bridge hammocks lay flatter, those adjustment channels do not seem to be necessary.
The UQ is attached at the four corners to the hammock and any necessary tightening or loosening can be accomplished there.
Am I flawed on these assumptions?
