This past weekend, Caleb, Blake, and I headed out on the Art Loeb Trail. This was my first time on a trip with this kind of snow. It was nothing like you guys up North, but I loved it.
The original intent was a thru hike, but as it seems many of my trips recently have ended early, this one was no exception. Each time a trip ends early, I learn something new. This time I learned that I'd like some neoprene socks for hiking in the snow with, too much cinnamon is a bad thing, and that hiking in snow and ice is rather time consuming and fleece melts if it gets too close to dying coals.
This was one of my favorite trips in a long time.
I look forward to running the last 11 miles or so to finish the ALT this Saturday. Be on the look out for an Antigravity Gear Pocket Profile for the Art Loeb Trail soon.
