    Smokies Rocky Top Video

We hiked in from Cades Cove to CS10. Next day we hiked to Spence Field shelter and then to Rocky Top. Hiked back to CS10 for night number 2 and then out the next day.

We entered the smokies, just one day after the park reopened. Many thanks to Fireinmybones and Medicineman for suggesting alternate hikes if the park wasn't open.

We had 5 total hikers all in hammocks. Ran into a fellow forum member on the way to Rocky Top, I believe he was TNHiker.

Here's a video from Rocky Top.

Great stuff, looks like a fun time! Thanks for sharing.

Tell me about the music on that last video - hauntingly beautiful.

Thanks guys. The music was from Casting Crowns "Tribute to Bluegrass"

Filmed on the road leading into to Elkmont Campground in the Smokies.

Great footage, I just subbed your channel. I have done 3 sections hikes starting from Springer mtn up to Rock Gap in NC (First 106 miles north bound). Hoping to get to the smokeys next summer. Did you sing the song?

    Thanks for the sub!

Sang the song, but decided not to cause ear damage to everyone by posting it on YouTube. :-)

Thank for the shoot out. Great music. I'm a Casting Crowns fan. The Smokies are such a lovely place. I'm glad the park was open to you and that your trip went well.

I enjoyed your videos! The drive into Elkmont video, I imagined I was riding my mountain bike in the Smokies. I’m a bit tired now, but it was a great ride, thank you, Peg-Leg!
