Thumbs up Hoi! From the Netherlands Europe

    Hello,
I have been reading for about a year, so probably about time to introduce myself
I am Remone from the Netherlands, Europe. 33yrs old and father of 2.
Always loved camping and hiking but am 'hanging' for little over a year. Most of the time with my brother, no big hikes yet but just camping/relaxing.
First bought a piece of s$£#! (Some kind of army/jungle hammock), wich was dissapointning. I deceided it was time for better gear. With the help from this forum I made my choice: wbbb with a big mamajamba tarp.
Had to find my 'hang' but quickly learned how to hang this hammock.
Now I try to hang as much as I can, wick is 2-4x a month.
We just pick a new spot everytime, mostly it's prohibited but we mostly only move in the dark. Sometimes there's a free camping spot in the forrests, meant for bikers/hikers/etc.
In feb we planned to walk the Lieserpath and camp just at nice spots we find there.
I Am often jealous with this forum and his members as I see some beautiful pictures of the places you livd and especially hang offcourse. much more real untamed nature. The netherlands is extremely small with not much real big forrests. Almost everywhere you can hear the highway, just to give you an idea.
Looking forward to learn more from all of hou and qurious if there are more dutchies or peoplefrom europe around here.
    Thanks for reading

Edit; just saw my registration date, realized I am already a member for 1year exactly. Longer then I would have thought

Welcome to the family! Sounds like you already have the right frame of mind for camping in your restricted area; easier to ask forgiveness than permission!

Quite a few Dutchies around here. Add yourself to the map here: Hamock Hangers Map and here is a quick how-to to get your name on the map: Hammock Map How-to.

Thanks, down under, have been there 2yrs ago. Still 'homesick' because of it, really loved the trip from sydney to Cairns. It really was beyond words.
Since then I dream about hammocking through your beautiful country!
