    FT: Backpack(s) for Hammock Gear

So I am backpack rich in the area of various camouflage packs. I have many different sizes from day pack to expedition sized, inexpensive to very high quality big name brand ones. I'm looking to trade for hammock gear, such as underquilts/topquilts for my wife and two daughters. I also have a friend that I'm interested in getting into a full hammock system if fate scripts it so. I'm professed gear gobbler though, and I'll entertain just about anything, stoves, knives, gadgets. If you think we can dance a gear shifting dance from our varied piles of excess, let me know. Thanks.

It would help your cause if you added a list of items for trade or better yet added some pictures.

Sitka Flash 20, Optifade Open Country
Eberlestock Half Rack, Real Tree Hardwood
    Eberlestock X1, MARPAT Green
USMC ILBE Full Ruck with Assault Pack, MARPAT Tan

Some combo of these would be expendable at the benefit of keeping my ladies warm.

The web images of the ILBE w/assault pack, Eberlestock X1 and Sitka Flash 20 have been added. I realize that these packs defy the ultralight tendencies of our membership, but these packs are very high quality packs made to last a lifetime of abuse in the field.

The ILBE is made by Arcteryx, is about 80L and has an expansive collar atop that allows a LOT of gear to be inserted. There is an attachable/detachable assault pack that makes for a great day bag, peak bagging bag or whatever you need that is smaller.

The X1 has not been used, I put a few things into it for a recent trip, then decided that I would bring another pack instead. If you are a hunter, it can carry a long gun or bow, but the long gun sleeve would also be nice for stuffing in a hammock so that it can be rapidly packed or deployed.

The Sitka Flash 20 is small, has a lightweight external frame that supports the pack off your back so there is a lot of air circulation. This is a very comfortable pack make for shorter outings.

I propose the bird and trout knife I sent you pics of for the sitka 20.

Assuming its from a smoke free home. (can't believe I need to ask this now..)

I'm also willing to send you the knife to check out first if you'd like.

I know there's a slight value difference (in your favor) so if theres anything else I can offer, let me know.

Since there are blades on my wish list for Christmas, I shall decline for now. If my clan overlooks those I may reconsider. Many thanks.

    Going to keep the ILBE.
With three UQ's acquired for the ladies I should be set there.
Still willing to trade the Eberlestock X1 and Sitka Flash if there is interest.
Also have a nearly new Mother daypack. Got it recently from the designer, nice day pack that can expand to haul game ot other backpacking items. Photos of this one to come soon.

Pointy things, chopping things, gadgets...I'm the wanderlust of gear infatuation...tempt me.

Let's lock this one up. Little interest for these heavier packs. With the arrival of the Zimmerbuilt pack, I'm pretty sure I'm set in the hammock pack department.
