A-tacs FG or ACC for camo

I am going to buy a new hammock,double layer,and i am considering the outer fabric.
I would like some camo,and i am between
1.9 A-tacs FG Camo 61"" or 1.9 Advantage Classic Camo 60".
I prefer the looks of the Realtree Advantage camo more,altough i dont know how effective it is as camo.
Anyone has any photos of the these fabrics hang in the field?

For inside fabric i am going for a 1.1 Brownish Green or Olive.

If i want a wider body hammock than 60" i will have to go with 1.1 Double layer i assume?I dont like the vivid colors of the rest of wider fabrics.

A-tacs is horrible when you get into light fabrics it just does not look correct.
Camo looks nice when you have cotton but that is to heavy. When you start getting into light weight it is hard to find the perfect camo that blends in.

I finally decided on multi cam

I still need to decide on under quilt and top yet which will be multi cam too.
I have been researching it for a while. My hammock I ordered a few days back I am hoping it comes in before xmas. But really take your time on looking at the fabrics in different environments. A-tacs I know is a waste for a tarp. But the cloths blend well.

Not really sure myself. Maybe how the inks are applied and hold no idea. But check out this video. This is a-tacs and it looks nothing like the a-tacs pants or shirts. I know I have them. With clothing it blends very nice. But when you get into this light stuff it just does not look right as you will see in the video.

He had alot of comments at one time saying its not a-tacs but it really was.



I also considered http://www.kryptek.com/ its actually wanted more then A-tacs.But they have no light weight to order it all has cotton in it. Anything with kryptek does not last long. The entire US armed forces buy it fast. Alot of people in the US armed forces are having there wives find seamstress to make them items because there so hard to find. Everyone is also expecting the USA armed forces to switch to kryptek. Which is an interesting story if you google it. How there a small company competing with the big boys.

I have 500 denier atacs 30 yards of it sitting here in my box. I plan to make some belt items I need. But one thing about camo in the old days your choices where very limited to where now there is like 200 camos out there now.

Can't speak to the fabric shown in the video, but I know what the stuff used by Dream Hammock looks like.

Our A-Tacs FG fabric is a 70d (1.9oz) ripstop nylon.
It's a pure finish fabric, meaning no dwr treatment or coatings at all.

The 1.0 woodland is a great fabric. Lightweight, and it does blend well depending on the season. Yeah, it would be awesome to have ReelTree Xtra or Mossy Oak Break Up patterns, but that fabric is hard to come by.

I'm satisfied with my Darien in woodland, just get a dark tarp.

Ok,about the width,60'' should be fine for me i imagine??
I am generally light and small framed, 5' 10" and 150 lbs.

man i tell ya, i got the a-tacs au and it is a thing of beauty on that freebird of mine! absolutely love it. the pattern is great A+ dream hammocks for having such nice material

The width is all preference. I like mine more narrow, in the mid 50" range
