Another Nifty trick for Para cord.

Found this.. need to find me some small wire now. ;-)

Taking Para cord, taking out the inner strings.. Then taking light alum wire to slide inside the out case of the para cord. WALLA a nice flexible Tie wrap.

??? I've been using wire my whole life to tie/wrap things. I must have been doing it wrong because I never covered it with nylon.

I suppose a benefit would be having different coloured paracord for organization but other than that I don't see the point in using the paracord.

You can do the same wire tie trick with insulated copper wire. ;-)

Well Chug, regardless of all the reasons given on why to use simpler alternatives, I still think its another nifty way to further customize your gear; kind of like when we swap out our tree straps for different color ones. I like the fact that you can take a thinner gauge wire and make it have a larger diameter while not increasing its resistance to bending. A copper wire of similar diameter or gauge would be fairly tough to bend compared to a thinner wire encased in a wrap. Plus the added benefit of choosing your color is great. Again thanks for sharing.
