    Top Quilt for Tall Folks

I'm researching Top Quilts to find the best options for my non lilliputian self.

    I'm 6'5" (215lbs)

I want one that can be pulled over the noggin if need be. Who makes true supersize options with these criteria

    1. Complete (I'm not investing in the proper tools to make my own)
    2. Made in the USA
    3. Quality (durable)
    4. Light
    5. I don't want a sewn foot box

Also if I am missing some details. let me know.

Yep a custom is pretty much your only option for a 6'5" plus TQ.
I would contact HammockGear, Wilderness Logic. ArrowHead Equipment, and Underground Quilts.
Not specify in that order. These are our top vendors for custom work IMO.

+1 on contacting one of the cottage manufacturers on a custom quote if you're really looking for something substantially longer than 6'5''.

However, the stock long Burrow TQ from Hammockgear is 79 inches so you could pull it up to the top of your head. Not sure if you'd need to fully tuck it behind your head for any reason so I would assume exactly 6'5'' long would be long enough?

I found a deal on a reg HG incubator so I'll be able to start testing with that. That will show me some personal looks at quality, etc, as well as sizing.

I am a Jacksrbetter fan myself. Their economic quilts (old rag mountain, Hudson River, and Shenandoah) can be used as both underquilts and top quilts. When used as a tq, you just close the omnitape end and tie the ribbons and then sleep nice and warm. They have a long version, so check their specs on their page.

I've been using Wilderness Logics gear for about 3 years.
I HIGHLY recommend their King Size TQ. Rated 15*, flawlessly machined and the fleece chin patch is brilliant.
WL is as good as it gets in my book!

Underground Quilts Flight Jackets come in 84 inch length and will keep you tucked away no problem. UGQ is great to deal with and make wonderful gear as well.

I'm your exact size. I have an enlightened equipment 20* that I love. Extra wide and extra long. Works like a charm. Great service too.

Check out the Jacks R Better Sierra Sniveler in Long. Foot box is OmniTape and tie strings, it's plenty wide, plenty long, AND you can open up the head hole in the middle and wear it as a serape! I love mine. I'm a little shorter and wider than you (6'2" 240lbs) and the Long version sniveler goes way up over my head if necessary. I think it would be long enough to go over yours. Talk to the guys at JRB to be sure.

Another Jacks R Better plus is they have most things in stock for immediate shipment.

    Take it easy,
    Bob
