    Welcome home!

Congratulations on your gear purchases. New gear to test and enjoy is a wonderful compliment to cutting your weight in half.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Welcome home and I hope you get to enjoy all of your fun new toys as much as you would like.

    BTW, where are/were you overseas?

I took the plunge and went all in!

Thanks everyone - I had to share with people that would really appreciate it as my wife is not a hanger or camper. It was a major investment, but my back will greatly appreciate it as it is lighter and I will be more comfortable when I sleep. Someone asked - I'm currently in Afghanistan (as a contractor, not a soldier).

    Nice! Great list of gear.

I did the same thing a couple of weeks ago during black Friday sales as a post deployment congrats type of thing. I understand, and enjoy your new gear.

My forum name is Fish<><; I'm in the navy; and I hate sleeping on the ground. If I didn't need ground to walk on or measure resistance to, I think I could happily give it up.

Haha. For my cookset I traded in the iron skillet for an alky stove.....

Actually I use a primus express canister stove that I plan on keeping. The 15 lbs counts everything else that I'm using/usually carry.
