Actually I use a primus express canister stove that I plan on keeping. The 15 lbs counts everything else that I'm using/usually carry.
I went with the small one this way its all one kit. I made a reflective cover for the pot and it still goes in the bag but its tight.

they had a buy 1 get 1 free sale. So I was able to out fit me and my son in one shot. I figure if I run out of alcohol I can always use fire. The big items like you bought are the biggest hit. I have 2 WB hammocks just ordered another one in multi cam waiting on that. Wife said she wants to come so I have her my WB. Gave a good excuse to get the multi-cam

Gets expensive when you start buying for more then 1 person real quick. But worth every dollar. What luxury items will you be taking now?

I picked up one of these for a toy next trip I will try it.

With all that weight gone now you can really have some amazing items with you.

I took the plunge and went all in!

I'm lucky that the wife doesn't like to camp - that helps the bank account. My only luxury items are a GPS (for tracking), my phone (for pictures), and sometimes a small bottle of something (for me or to share). I thought about a wood stove, but the canister stove makes the morning coffee from the hammock a LOT easier.

Great decisions. WBBB is the best thing I've purchased for outdoors.

Sounds like some great welcome back to "Sweet Home Alabama" presents. 15lbs will be a pure joy to you back. We live in Bama. Maybe we'll run into you sometime. Welcome home.

Yippee! The last item has shipped! My wife says I have a LOT of packages to open when I get home in a few weeks. I can't wait to try out my new setup. I wonder if she will be mad if I sleep outside in the hammock after being gone more than a year??

My friend, that's a question that didn't need asking, ha,ha. You may be lucky to get to go on an overnight hike.

Yeah, I know.... I do have a weekend trip planned for mid February that she knows about. But I will need to test it out before then....

Jealous of being in Afghanistan for more than a year or my purchases?

I did/will miss two Christmas, a birthday, and an anniversary - so that all of my presents combined. Or at least that's my justification....
