Plastic crotchet needle cut in half
Since we are all hangers and don't need our old tents. I cut my fiberglass poles. All joking aside, I had some old poles that I cut up.
top 5.4g carbon arrow with lash-it lanyard
bottom 9g aluminum arrow with some kinda poly line i had laying around from an old neck lanyard i don't think the lash-it would bring the weight down much
Sh*t happens !! such is life :S

One tip is to have a loop of cord on your toggle; it makes it easy to pull loose from a tight hitch.
lash-it or tech line continuous loops are my favorite things for these toggles.
tight hitches... there's a divorce lawyer joke in there somewhere.
Seriously, though, in order to keep my suspension in fairly good condition, I made the continuous loop lanyards long enough to larks-head around my tree straps.
These yellow whoopies and Mork & Mindy rainbow straps will NOT get lost... the black and grey pultruded carbon toggles, on the other hand, might be harder to find at night.
also, if you can't find any good strong buttons beads for you whoopie slings, I suggest drilling out the center of buttons. they are cheap and come in practically any color you want.

Pultruded? Was that a spell checker hiccup?

I use sticks that I find on the ground for toggles. Then I don't have to carry any.

I use aluminum knitting needles, cut into sections with a regular pipe cutter, and available in multiple colors.
