Hanging indoors, growing up with hammocks

I had been working on finishing the inside of our little cabin and now was the perfect time to build in the hammock anchor points. This is a hard mount using 2"x12" between the studs, an eye bolt attached through the 2"x12" plate.

My 8 year old son is no stranger to hammocks and camping He has been a hanger for a while.
    Looking back:

His first camp out and marshmellow roast

    A " TREEP" hang

And now he is hanging in the house

    Life is good here.

I love the concept of hammocks in a cabin.
Our cabin for the past few years is a rental and we aren't allowed to hang anything.
Besides none of the studs would handle a hammock. Barely strong enough to hold the roof up:-)

It is a small cabin and having hammocks would make it less cramped and more comfortable.

Glad you can get your son to appreciate the outdoors at an early age.
