    For $40 bucks, it might be something to experiment with on the thread injector. Canibalize the sleeves, hood, and zipper and you might have something. I took the hood off and ran a pair of scissors down the back of a $300 bag without blinking an eye, I sure wouldn't be scared of $40 bucks...

    Something about hunting while sitting at ground level with my feet bound together has a real bad feel about it.

    This idea has been out there for a while for Deer hunters. Acts like a mitten for your body, and they do work if you are going to be in stand all day in really low temps. However, this one doesn't include a hole in the back for your safety straps, so keep that in mind if you are a treestand hunter.
