I spent my first night out in a hammock! It was a great experience. Temp was around 38 at night with 10-15 mph winds. Now I need to dial in my diy system.

I spent my first night out in a hammock! It was a great experience. Temp was around 38 at night with 10-15 mph winds. Now I need to dial in my diy system.
If you were able to pull off your first hang using your own DYI equipment, I would say you are off to a great start as a hanger!

So I was in a hurried rush to toss some thing together and try it out. I bought some ripstop from the local fabric store and with a lot of sewing help form my mother I was able to put this system together in a few hours. I pillaged the old climbing tub for the webbing and rope for the suspension.
