What do folks find to be the best way to carry these?
I carry mine strapped to the lid, or if carrying a large pack, I put it inside the pack unrolled first, then put my gear "inside" the pad.

I have mine rolled and strapped to the back of my pack. Yes, you have to do the blue pad dance, trying to get it straightened, but I hope that will be less of a problem when my double layer blackbird comes in. I used to carry a self-inflater, but figured I only need insulation, not cushioning.

Don't be afraid to trim it down. I cut mine to torso length. Mostly used for sitting on at breaks and around camp. Only used if really cold in the hammock.
