Talking Fronkey, the Girlfriend and the Bear

I went out for a night on the Loch Leven Trail in Tahoe National Forest and I finally got to bring my girlfriend on her first backpacking trip. We hit temps down to 5f, had 25 mph wind gusts and even had a little "bear scare."
It really was an awesome trip in the snowy Sierras and we had a great time!

I also show how to hang two hammocks under one tarp.

    Thanks for watching!

Fronkey, sir, great report. Nothing like breaking her in easy. Five degrees, post holing and bears, oh my.

    Thanks for that!
I always look forward to your trip reports.

The "girlfriend" certainly seems like a better class of hiking partner than I normally have

Glad y'all had fun. One question though. What did your girl say about the bear footage? When I was around 6 (I think) my grandpa and I had an bear encounter. It came in our camp sniffed around a bit broke a fishing rod and left. Being so little, I knew nothing about it until we on the road back home.

As always great report fronkey. I think it was more entertaining with your gf along than normally, but solos are fun to watch too. You should definitely take her along more often for our sake.

What a great companion you girlfriend is. And the shot with the setup of the hammocks was much appreciated.
    As always, a fine report.
