Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.
There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.
I used to think my bed was really comfortable until I would come back from a multiple day hike and realize not so much.

I now sleep in a hammock in my own bedroom.
However when sleeping over a friends house and I am forced to sleep in a bed I find that I don't move nearly as much. Also I tend to wake up more threw the night and also am always on my back. Like I never moved kinda Han Solo frozen in carbon style.

Yes, I'm changed. I don't sleep in a bed anymore, ever. Well, 4 times this year so far, under protest!
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.
wow! you people are hardcore. I'm still sleeping in the bed but i will say i sleep much more on my back in the hammock than in bed. i'm just not seeing the wife being ok with me sleeping in the hammock each night or her converting to a double hammock for the two of us every night. if anyone accomplishes this you have to let me know. you officially would become DA MAN! Go Pens! Sorry my team just evened up the series in the stanley cup playoffs.
I have awaken at nights in my bed and noticed I was sleeping diagonally, which my wife didn't like much since I was almost pushing her off the bed.

This kindof happens to me too with my girlfriend... head close to the edge of the bed away form her head, feet practically on top of her... but i just thought i liked keeping my feet warm, can't believe i din't realize it could have something to do with hammocking... hmmmmmmmm

I no longer sleep in a bed. I have my hammock hung in my room & sleep in it every night.
